
Sara Schwarzentraub has held the SRA
designation since 1978. As a nationally approved instructor,
she has taught numerous courses and seminars since 1988.
Standards has been one of the mainstays of her teaching since
1991. Most recently she has been teaching Residential Design
and Functional Utility and Residential Consulting, two new
seminars by the Appraisal Institute. In addition she teaches
the new Serving the Client: Application and Use of the
Streamlined Forms Process.
This year Ms.
Schwarzentraub serves as the chair of Membership Development and
Retention, on Seminars Subcommittee and an Education Trust
director for the Appraisal Institute. In 1999 Ms.
Schwarzentraub served as National Chair of Regional Chairs.
This also put her on the Executive Committee for that year. She
has served on the Board of Directors and on faculty and
education committees as well as being active in the early 1990's
on state and national legislative committees. She served as
Chair of the California Coalition of Appraisers during the
passage and early implementation of appraiser licensing.
Ms.
Schwarzentraub owns Inter-State Appraisal Service, a small fee
firm specializing in residential, residential income and
residential litigation appraisal and consulting services. She
and her husband have owned that company since 1984. Her clients
include relocation companies, attorneys, direct lenders, Fannie
Mae, and selected mortgage brokers. |
